A-5 Nickel Silver or TiC-coated Nickel Silver with fine thread locking ring. Recessed uplocking fixed hood with a formed sliding hood. Best for 4wt to 8wt rods.

A-7 Black or Gunsmoke anodized aluminum with O-ring inset locking ring. Best installed uplocking. The fixed hood can be mounted in a recessed or flush mount grip. Machined sliding hood. Best for 2wt to 6wt rods. 16 mm.

Reel Seat Installation Instructions: Your wood reel seat insert should be glued to the hardware before reaming it out to fit your rod blank. I find that 5-minute epoxy works best for me. Carefully ream the bore using a rattail file and/or a drill. I find that using a reversible drill and turning the drill bit backwards, works well to get the hole close to the desired diameter. I recommend installing the reel seat in the up-locking position.
